David Slone 65 years of age of Melvin, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his residence. He was born on November 3, 1961, to the late Willie and Mae Sparkman Slone. He is survived by his two daughters, Brandy (Lee) Little of Melvin, Misti (Richard) Johnson of Wheelwright; grandchildren, Tiana (Aaron), Cameron, Conner, Canyon; two special grandchildren by love, Carmyn and Lauryn; brothers and sisters, Willie (Brenda) Slone Jr, of Wheelwright, Geraldine (the late Tivis) Johnson of Wheelwright, Ruby (the late Cleo) Johnson of Banner; two special pets, Bella and Duke; a special little friend, Sawyer; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Alongside his mother and father, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Glenna Jean “Deanie” Hill along with his brothers and sisters, Arie T. Slone, Robert Slone, Jan Hall, Christine Johnson and Jean Slone. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM at the Little Rock Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Slone Family Cemetery at Stoker Branch of Wheelwright. Visitation will begin on Thursday after 6:00PM at the Church with nightly services beginning at 7:00PM.
