Ellis Vin Branham

Ellis Branham, 80, of Harold, Ky, husband of Hester Hall Branham, entered his Heavenly home on Thursday March 19, 2026. He was born in Grethel, Ky on May 1, 1945 to troy and Stella Tackett Branham. He grew up in a large, close-knit family and had a special unbreakable bond with his brothers and sisters. His supportive wife, daughter, family and firm belief in God carried him during his final days. Ellis lived in Clyde, OH for more than 20 years and worked at General Motors, he then moved back to his home state of Kentucky in 1980 and began a coal truck until he retired in the late 90’s. Ellis joined the Old Regular Baptist Church on October 20, 2018 and was a member of the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church. Ellis is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Redmon Branham, whom passed away April 7, 2010. They were married on January 2, 1965, and celebrated 45 years of marriage. Ellis and Lynn went on to choose one daughter in 1973 whom they cherished and adored. Ellis then married Hester Hall Branham on September 18, 2011, and celebrated 15 years of marriage. Ellis is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Lisa Branham and Tim Riddle of Knoxville, Tenn, and a bonus daughter and son in-law, Danielle Hall and David Hampton of Teaberry, Ky; grandson and fiancé, Hunter Damron and Stephanie Newsome; granddaughter, Olivia Damron and her husband Preston Hicks, soon to be bonus grandson, James Keith Hampton and three great grandchildren, Emma Ayden and Scarlett. Ellis is survived by three sisters that include Gladys Mitchell of Grethel, Ky, Ruth and Carlos Akers of Grethel, Ky, and Maxine and Otto Collins of Flatrock, MI. He is survived by brothers and sisters in-law who include Michael and Stephanie Hall, Mickey and Linda Hall, Jennifer Branham and Jeanette Branham. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Troy Branham, sister and brothers that include Nora Beatrice Spradlin, Wanda Carroll, Judy Hamilton, James Branham, Elisha Branham, Emmitt Branham, Jettie Marie Branham, Irene Branham, Maybelline Branham, Ruford Kenneth Branham, Larry David Branham, Pervis Branham. He is also preceded in death by brother in-laws and sister in-laws who held special bonds with. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved and cherished. Visitation will be Sunday March 22, 2026, at Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church at Grethel, Ky. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday March, 23, 2026 at 10AM at the church with burial to follow in the Branham Family Cemetery in Grethel, Ky. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Pilgrims Home Church.
