Estil Warren Stewart Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Estil Warren Stewart, 74 of Left Fork of Long Fork, Virgie passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born in Pike County on September 22, 1936 to the late Daniel and Cloevia Elkins Stewart. He was employed by the Pike County Parks and Recreation Department and was a retired miner, having worked at Beth Elkhorn Mine #25. He was a member and Ordained Pastor of the Grace Fellowship Church. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Danny Wayne Stewart, three brothers; Aster Lee Stewart, Chester Allen “Jackie” Stewart, Lester Eugene Stewart and one sister; Judy Stewart Newsome. He is survived by his wife; Ruth Fouts Stewart, two sons; Michael (Christine) Stewart of Virgie, Larry (Crystal) Stewart of Caney, three sisters; Mary Ann Tackett, Linda Fleming both of Virgie, Bonnie Adams of Jonancy, two grandchildren; Brittany (Jamie) Elswick of Dorton, Brandon (Lindsay) Stewart of Caney, two great-grandchildren; Peyton and Hillary Elswick. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home with Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana. Visitation will begin on Wednesday after 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Special singing will begin at 7:00 P.M. with Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church singers and Grace Fellowship Church singers.
