Brenda Carol Johnson Burke

Brenda Burke, 78 of Virgie passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born March 23, 1941 in Pike County to the late Troy and Lora Tackett Johnson. She was a member of the Energyville Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired aid at G. F. Johnson Elementary. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; William L. Burke, two brothers; Roger Johnson and Mike Johnson, two sisters; Barbara Sue Sparks and Wilma Jean Mullins. She is survived by her four sons; Anthony L.(Sondra) Burke of Florida, Timothy A. (Tena) Burke of Somerset, KY, Phillip (Jessica) Burke of Charlotte, NC, William Matthew (Marcia) Burke of Lewisburg, PA, three brothers; Belmont Johnson of Little Creek, Gary “Pert” Johnson of Collins, Ricky Johnson of Lexington, two sisters; Mary Smallwood of Myra, Shirley Crusenberry of Myra, seven grandchildren; Joseph Anthony Burke, Timothy Austin Burke, Tayler Nicole Burke, William Bradley Burke, Joshua Alan Burke, Bailey Thompson Burke, Emma Grace Burke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Energyville Free Will Baptist Church with David Bentley and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Burke Family Cemetery at Weeksbury. Visitation will be at the Energyville Free Will Baptist Church after 6:00 PM Monday with nightly services beginning at 7:00 PM,
