Doris Mae Bates

Doris Mae Bates age 80 of Wheelwright, formerly of Indian Creek, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at her residence. She was born on May 22, 1940 to the late Ark and Ethel Gibson Isaac. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Verman Hall and her second husband; S.J. Bates, three sons; David Hall, Verman Hall Jr, Rodney Hall, one grandchild; Michael Adney and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters; Brenda Hall Lozon of Wheelwright, Rita Younce of Michigan, Angela Jordan of West Liberty, two brothers; Clyde Isaac of Ohio, Jimmy Isaac of Virginia, four sisters; Diana Marcum of Lexington, Anna Lou Ball of Michigan, Hazel Isaac of Wheelwright, Marie Wells of Whitesburg, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and two great -great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:00PM at the Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church with Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Cemetery at Wheelwright. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 6:00PM at the Church with services beginning at 7:00PM.
