Shirley Johnson, 72 years of age of Abner Mountain of Indian Creek passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on June 10, 1949 to the late Lonnie and Ruth Damron Hobson. She was previously employed by Pikeville Medical Center. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Gary L. Johnson, one brother; Jerry Hobson. She is survived by two sons; Greg (Velvet) Johnson of Indian Creek, Creg (Jondra) Johnson of Mooresburg, TN, two brothers; Don (Erica) Hobson of Daytona Beach, FL, Sollie (Joyce) Hobson of Robinson Creek, four grandchildren; Olivia (Richard), Emma, Ella and Tatem. Funeral services will be 12:00PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home with James Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park Cemetery at Pikeville. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, after 6:00PM at the Funeral Home.
